PIRATE CAT

AND THEN SHE LOOKED AT ME WITH HER ONE GOOD EYE!

Actually her eyes are sharp as a hawk!! My pal Skittles is almost 11. And she is one cool cat!!

May God always bless her. I hope Spring comes soon. My cats dream all Winter of roaming in the woods and killing things.

Shes actually pretty skinny, but she holds her own in the cold, other day she was gone 6 hours at -20F! LOL

EARTH IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT

The Daily Mail has done it again with this great piece.

This video shows what our sky would look like with other moons etc

Dione which orbits Saturn (pictured) at a distance of 235,000 miles (377,000km), would impact Earth if Saturn were in place of the moon

The animation by the agency shows just how large some of the planets are, with Jupiter (pictured) and Saturn filling up most of the sky

ELECTRICITY CAN BE DANGEROUS

Safety first!

My electrician buddy said never grab, or hug someone being electrocuted. He said, instead it is easier to give him a shoulder block, lest you get zapped too! But, I never heard of the technique used in this video.

PLOTTING THE SPREAD OF LANGUAGE ON OUR PLANET

Interactive map reveals how words have evolved across the world's continents.

Really a well done interactive. If you are interested in language, this is for you.

Man, this is really neat.

The English word 'science' originated in Middle English and has links with Old French and Latin ‘scientia’, from scire which means ‘know’. The noun cicencia in Spanish translates to science, as well as erudition and knowledge. In German, the word translates to ‘wissenschaft’, where ‘wissen’ means knowledge and ‘schaft’ is a suffix used to denote that the word is feminine. In Finnish, science is ‘tiede’

OH MY!!!

SO VERY PRETTY!!

IS YOUR FUTURE ALREADY DECIDED?

New theory of time suggests that the past, present AND future co-exist in the Universe.

As a student of metaphysics, for many years I always knew this. But, for you laymen, check out this great article.

A Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor of philosophy has presented a new theory of time. Dr Bradford Skow says the idea that time flows like a river (stock image shown) is not necessarily correct. Instead he claims space-time is a 'block universe' where the past, present and future all exist together

DO YOU FEEL FUNKY?

Take a minute to look around, lots of neat stuff in here.

Unfortunate Fortune Cookies
Let’s be honest, no one gives two shits about fortunes that say things like “An exciting opportunity lies ahead” or “A thrilling time is in your immediate future”. Thankfully a company by the name of Vat19 decided to write some humorous fortunes, that poke fun at how bland and stupid some fortune cookies can be.

GREAT MINDS

Rumor has it that Edison invented so many things it often took him time to figure out their perfect use. Someone said he paced the floor for hours pondering this invention here. When he was convinced he may have came up with the perfect sex toy, a light bulb when off in his head. A float to hold fishing line off the bottom, YES, the modern day bobber.

RUN FORREST, RUN!

Yeah Buddy, had em challenge me to a footrace myself atime or two. LOL..

Should we start pointing fingers or get together and see if we can work on some solutions?

Climatologists are particularly concerned about melting sea ice in the Arctic and have created a time-lapse animation to show how fast old ice is vanishing. This still shows old ice (in white) and ice under a year old (in blue) in 1987, since when amounts have declined
